Briefly about history of production of AAD* in the company MarS a.s.
Automatic Activation Devices in MarS a.s. were produced in 2003. The first device was MPAAD (Mars Parachute Automatic Activation Device). The device has already received a number of activating and many lives saved skydivers. This unit was the second electronic device in the order of the world after Cypres. Another device is MPAAD Pilot. The device is intended for use in emergency parachutes for pilots of aircrafts and helicopters. For cutting of the closing loops of rescue parachute uses two cutters.
The new generation of the AAD represents the unit m2 AAD, combining experience in development, production and use of previous security devices. Are used to produce high technology and latest knowledge of parachuting. m2 AAD has been on sale since mid-2011.
The device is available in 4 versions:
—m2 speed Activation occurs if the altitude above the landing area is below 270 m (885 ft) and the falling speed is over 45 m/s-1 (101 mph). The m2 SPEED version is designated for canopy piloting. This version is for the most experienced pilots with extremely fast parachutes and with great experience!
—m2 expert Activation occurs if the altitude above the landing area is below 270 m (885 ft) and the falling speed is over 35 m/s-1 (78 mph). The m2 EXPERT is the most commonly used version of the device. It is designated for experienced skydivers.
—m2 student Activation occurs if the altitude above the landing area is below 330 m (1,085 ft) and the falling speed is over 20 m/s-1 (45 mph), or if the altitude above the landing location is less than 200 m (660 ft) and falling speed is over 13 m/s-1 (29 mph). The m2 STUDENT version is designated for parachute gear for basic student training and AFF. The expected surface load of the main canopy is less than 1.0 lb/ft.
—m2 tandem Activation occurs if the altitude above the landing area is below 610 m (2,000 ft) and the falling speed is over 35 m/s-1 (78 mph). The m2 TANDEM version is designated for tandem gear.
